The mission of the Association of Veterinary Technician Educators is to promote quality education in Veterinary Technology. (est. 1973)
Our mission is accomplished by sharing information and experiences through our website and during our biennial Symposium. The Symposium features a unique keynote speaker, several in-depth workshops and many educational sessions facilitated by AVTE members and other industry experts who share their first-hand experience, best practices and successes so that you can return to your classroom energized, motivated and prepared to teach the next generation of professional veterinary technicians.
The AVTE 2017 Program Committee seeks proposals for sessions that:
- support the association’s mission of promoting quality education in veterinary technology;
- introduce new, unique and successful methods of teaching today’s college students;
- incorporate interactive learning methods (not completely lecture-based); and
- would be taught by professionals known for their exceptional teaching styles in the classroom or at conventions.
Presentation Selection:
To ensure the highest quality programming, each proposal will be peer reviewed in three steps by the AVTE 2017 Program Committee. Proposals that meet the above criteria will be given the highest consideration.
