As usual, the one-day event will feature a keynote speech in the morning followed by a presentation of new research; then in the afternoon we will split up into two tracks: Technology and Law & Policy.

At this point I am looking for suggestions of keynote speakers, research presentations, and afternoon session topics.

Here are some of the topics I’m thinking of featuring, depending on the outcomes of various pending legislation and litigations:

  • The Music Modernization Act and what’s next for streaming music licensing
  • Solving problems with image licensing
  • The effects of changes in European copyright law
  • The future of the U.S. Copyright Office and copyright registration
  • Copyright issues around reverse engineering
