The conference theme is 2020 Vision for the Future of Libraries. Current digital transformations of libraries unite colleagues—librarians, developers, researchers, staff, patrons, publishers, software vendors, data scientists, universities—to collaborate on becoming open global platforms. Libraries continue to introduce virtual reality in their services offered to enhance teaching and learning. Machine learning and artificial intelligence are being incorporated into library software by institutional developers and vendors alike. These technological advances create new user needs for libraries to meet in addition to transforming traditional library services and workflows at a rapid pace. The future of libraries is clear: the continuing digital transformations within our institution communities affect the services provided by libraries.
