In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxBend, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxBend event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.
Through conferences and a worldwide community, TED’s mission is to Spread Ideas. Giving speakers an effective platform to share ideas, and fostering dialog about those ideas, the TED forum gathers groups of the curious to envision and co-create the future.
Communities all over the world leverage the TEDx program to give their people the opportunity to stimulate dialog about issues and ideas that matter to them through TED-like experiences at the local level. TEDxSanAntonio is a top-tier TEDx event series, operating since 2009. The 151 talk videos from TEDxSanAntonio events have been viewed more than 2 million times on the TEDxTalks channel, showcasing the thought leadership and creativity that is Puro San Antonio.
TEDxSanAntonio is now accepting idea submissions and speaker nominations for its 10th anniversary event, THE POWER OF TEN. The deadline to submit is Sunday, May 17, 2020.

TEDxSanAntonio speakers are chosen through a highly curated process by a select team that takes into consideration ideas, speaker styles, and the flow of the day. We measure applications by the power of the idea and whether the TEDxSanAntonio platform can help propel the idea forward.
