There is strong competition for presentation sessions, so a good abstract submission is important to help increase the chances of your abstract being selected. The GeoAlberta Conference Speakers Committee will select abstract submissions using the following criteria:
Value of the Subject: The presentation scope and originality must be of interest to a significant number of conference attendees. Your abstract shall indicate which audience segment would be most interested in your presentation and what will be learned from the presentation. Ideally, your presentation will provide conference attendees with:
New skills, capabilities and techniques to apply to their work in the Geomatics and GIS Industry
Real-life examples of how others are implementing and using Geomatics and GIS in their own organizations to enable strategic and operational initiatives effectively
Exposure to cutting edge tools and insights into best practices that attendees can apply to their daily work
Quality: Abstracts will be reviewed for quality, originality, and innovation. They will be reviewed and ranked for acceptance and placement in the program.
